Research about and with young carers shows that they do better when they feel supported.

Being supported means being seen, heard, and understood. Being supported means being found in the first place.

Here in Edinburgh, Space, Capital Carers, and Edinburgh Young Carers have been working together on an exciting schools project. You are invited to the first-ever conference dedicated to discussing young carers experiences in education.

We have encompassed young carers’ thoughts, feelings, and voices into our policies and good practice guidelines and work together, with our schools to create an environment where staff are young carer aware.

This conference brings opportunities to; network, hear from experts about the most up-to-date research on young carers, and have time to ask questions. We have a number of inspiring keynote speakers, and this will be a great opportunity for delegates to network and be part of making a change for young people! We also look forward to championing the great work that young carers charities offer in Edinburgh and creating new links and partnerships.
