Young Carers Action Day 2025 – 1 Week To Go!
We’re very excited for this year’s Young Carers Action Day events!
This year, we’re bringing young carers together under the theme ‘Give Me a Break’ – highlighting how important it is for young carers to have a break from their caring roles, and what support needs to be in place for this to happen – for ALL young carers to thrive.
It’ll actually be a two-day event:
Wednesday 12th March – A number of EYC’s 13+ young carers will have the chance to take a tour of the Scottish Parliament and contribute to the Young Carers Action Day meeting of the Cross Party Group on Carers, along with a photocall inside Parliament. Then, it’s free access to Dynamic Earth in the afternoon – it’ll be a day of fun-filled activities, discussions and support for young carers across Scotland!
Thursday 13th March – A mass gathering of young carers of all ages, staff and interested parties for a big photocall outside the Scottish Parliament building – the photographer is going to need a very wide lens! Then, there’s the opportunity to attend First Minister’s Questions and the Young Carers Action Day Parliamentary Debate in the Chamber. This is a great opportunity for young carers and their supporters to have our voices heard and listened to, and evoke action for change in support of young carers.
#GeezaBreak – Let’s make it happen!
