New EYC Chair of the Board of Trustees

EYC welcomes Jessica Wade as new Chair Person

EYC extends a very warm welcome to Jess Wade, who joined as Chair of the Board at our AGM on 19th November 2022.

Jess brings with her a wealth of experience in the third sector and with carers in Scotland. She has an extensive knowledge of social care policy and practice in Scotland and is well placed to support our vital work with young carers.

Jess is currently CEO at Carers of East Lothian and Co-Convenor at the Coalition of Carers in Scotland. Additionally, she is an experienced non-executive director, currently sitting on the board of OSCR, Home-Start Edinburgh and Wheatley Care. She has worked in both local and national charities across Scotland including Self Directed Support Scotland, RNIB and Barnardo’s.

We are very much looking forward to working with Jess.
